Good food - good drinks and reasonable price. Get your Guinness fix! Back several years later. Still a great place for a meal. Prices are good and the special drinks are yummy! Good service and friendly staff.

We went as a group for New Year's Eve and had a great experience. No cover charge, full menu available, great band, and lots of free extras such as fun hats, a midnight buffet, and even a champagne toast. The staff worked hard to make sure everyone had a great time and the food was very good. Our group had a wonderful experience.

I been going to the rail for about three years now …. It never disappoints us! We have 3 kids who love when we say let’s go to the rail!! Food is always amazing , service is wonderful and the environment amazing too!!! It’s our place to go to when we don’t want to cook or just need to hang out for a little and have a good time!!! I love how they have live music and things going on to keep us entertained!!! And now we had the pleasure of having our daughter’s first communion there and their food and service were 5 stars!!! All our guests were so happy and pleased with their food!! Thank you to the Rail owner, manager and all the staff!!! They were exceptional!!! Can’t wait to book my next party with them!!!

This little gem was quite the pleasant surprise on our way through NJ. Wings are crispy skin and tender, the onion rings are perfect with the chipotle aioli and the mozzarella wedges had about a foot of cheese pull! My husband had the Rail burger. He couldn’t finish it because it was so big. One patty but about an inch thick and actually fits the whole bun. Daughters had the poke bowl and chicken quesadillas. So much food and they both said both things were the best they’ve had in their life (14 and 16) and they’ve had those A LOT! Staff was friendly and I felt bad there was really only one person serving all tables at lunch plus bartending. Service didn’t slack because of this! She kept up with all tables and she busted her butt! I cannot give this place enough kudos. Great food, amazing service!! In a quiet little town but would be worth the drive to go here again from Ohio. Go check them out. It’ll be worth it!

Service was great but a bit slow. In their defense they were short handed when we went. Great prices and the food was really good. Especially loved the crispy fries. Ample parking surrounding the restaurant

First time guest here, alone for lunch so sat at the bar, greeted nicely by Karen the bartender, what a delight she is. I'm a French Onion soup fanatic so I started with that, (I should be the Dave Portnoy of F.O. Soups lol), it was very tasty and the char on top was wonderful. Next I wanted a burger, asked her for suggestions, she loves the horseradish burger which sounded yummy, then said The Rail burger is quite popular, so I opted for that. It was absolutely delicious! Cooked Med-Rare, with crispy bacon. 😋 I'll definitely stop back in again to try their pork chops which I hear are outstanding. Thank you Karen! Murph from Branchburg.

Really a very fun place. Lively atmosphere built around the band. The appetizers were amazing, including the drunken fire clams and the Buffalo calmari. decent wine list, Great Martini options and incredible burgers!

Thank you to The Rail for helping to make our son’s 1st Birthday so special! Kimmy our server was amazing and it was a breeze working with Craig the manager to set up the contract. The food was delicious and the party space was perfect! Highly recommend!

Tonight on the way home from @PeddlersVillage , the @OldPubClub found another establishment, in #WhitehouseStation , that has been around longer than us. This building was built in 1845 and opened for business in 1846 as the Union Hotel when the Central Railroad of New Jersey first came to Readington. After the hotel closed, the building became a the home to several restaurants throughout the years. The location was called Flamingo’s when the television show “Kitchen Nightmares” came in and rebranded the place and named it The Junction. Chef Gordon Ramsey helped revamp the restaurant. By calling it The Rail, they are honoring the railroad theme, being in this historic building, so close to the tracks. With its mix of great cocktails, service and delicious dishes, it’s a must stop if you are in the area. @TheRailNJ #TheRail #OldPubClub #OPC
